LONDON, July 11 (Reuters) -Northwest European diesel barge refining margins rose slightly on Thursday to $19.51 a barrel after data showed a 1.2% drop in regional stocks over the past week.

  • Four diesel barges traded in the Platts window, compared with seven in the previous session. Exxon and Mercuria sold to Vitol and Glencore.

  • Deliveries of low-sulphur gasoil for July fell to 975 lots or 97,500 metric tons at expiry, their lowest since February, InterContinental Exchange (ICE) data showed. The contract expired at $781.25 a ton, up from $763 a ton at the June expiry.O/GEXP

  • Independently held gasoil stocks in storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub fell by 1.2% in the week to Thursday to 2.16 million tons, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed.

  • U.S. distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, rose last week by 4.9 million barrels to 124.6 million barrels, versus expectations for a 0.8 million-barrel rise, the EIA data showed.

  • "There's a real warning flag over the distillate number," said John Kilduff, partner at Again Capital.

  • EU and UK diesel and gasoil imports stood at about 1.01 million barrels per day in June, nearly 20% below May levels, Kpler data showed. July import levels are set to reach 905,000 bpd so far.
