Biden tells Democratic lawmakers he's committed to 2024 race, beating Trump
WASHINGTON, July 8 (Reuters) -U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday told his fellow Democrats in Congress that he is "firmly committed" to his reelection campaign, vowing to remain in the presidential contest to beat Republican challenger Donald Trump.
"I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump," Biden wrote lawmakers as they returned to Washington following the July 4 recess.
