July 8 (Reuters) -Net inflows at Azimut AZMT.MI reached 1.04 billion euros ($1.1 billion) in June, boosted by a new private credit fund it recently closed and products it sold under a partnership with UniCredit CRDI.MI, the Italian asset manager said on Monday.

The 29.6% yearly increase in net new money at Azimut compares with a 32.3% rise at rival Banca Generali BGN.MI, which earlier on Monday reported net inflows in June of 697 million euros.

Chief Executive Gabriele Blei said Azimut had posted its best ever first half, thanks to its biggest divestment to date from foreign investments.

"Furthermore, we began recording inflows from the partnership with UniCredit," he added in a statement.

Azimut did not provide details of the UniCredit inflows.

Under its partnership with Italy's second-largest bank, Azimut can distribute the mutual funds originating from a new Irish fund business it set up specifically for UniCredit to the lender's 7 million Italian clients on a non-exclusive basis.

Other Italian asset managers also reported positive figures in June, with net inflows up 30% yearly at FinecoBank FBK.MI to 997 million euros, and nearly doubling year-on-year to 784 million euros at Banca Mediolanum BMED.MI.

On Monday Jefferies upgraded FinecoBank to "buy" from "hold" saying lower interest rates can further boost asset under management flows,

($1 = 0.9223 euros)
