On the U.S. economic calendar, the Institute of Supply Management is expected to report that its manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reading for September likely rose to 47.5 from 47.2 in August. Investors will also look out for the final reading of S&P Global's manufacturing PMI for September. Separately, the Commerce Department's Census Bureau is expected to report that construction spending probably rose 0.1% in August, after dropping 0.3% in July. Meanwhile, the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS report, is expected to show 7.655 million job openings in August, down from 7.673 million in the prior month.


Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic is scheduled to give opening remarks before the "Technology-Enabled Disruption: Implications of AI, Big Data, and Remote Work" conference organized by the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta, Boston and Richmond, in Atlanta. At the same event, Bostic, Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin, and Boston Fed President Susan Collins are set to participate in "A Conversation with the Federal Reserve Presidents." (1815/2215)


Nike is expected to post a decline in first-quarter revenue, hurt by weak consumer demand as innovation lags amid stiff competition from Hoka and Roger Federer-backed On. Investors will look out for comments on new CEO Elliott Hill's plans for Nike, new innovations, cost-cutting measures and updates on Olympic-driven consumer interest.


Meta's president of global affairs Nick Clegg is scheduled to deliver a speech at an event on AI and semiconductors at the Innovation Centre in Hanoi.


US district court judge is set to decide whether proceeds from a sale of shares in a Citgo Petroleum parent will be shared with holders of defaulted Venezuelan bonds that are pursuing claims in a separate court.


Hot sauce maker McCormick is expected to post a decline in third-quarter revenue, hurt by sluggish demand for its pricey spices and seasonings. Investors will look out for comments on demand, pricing actions, promotional activity and annual forecasts.


Canada's S&P Global Manufacturing PMI for September is due for release.


Latin American investors will look forward to Brazil's S&P Global manufacturing PMI data. Additionally, Chile's IMACEC economic activity index likely rose 2% in August, compared to a rise of 4.2 percent in July, data is expected to show.
