POLITICS
Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said in a joint statement with the Swiss foreign ministry on Monday that the two countries shared deep concern over Russia's aggression in Ukraine, but that Moscow should be present at the next peace summit.
COMPANIES
(*) TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI, INWIT INWT.MI
Telecom Italia (TIM) TLIT.MI said it signed off the sale of its residual indirect stake in Italy's top telecoms tower company INWIT INWT.MI to a consortium led by French infrastructure fund Ardian for 250 million euros.
PRYSMIAN PRY.MI
The cablemaker on Monday was awarded about $96 million by a U.S. court in its trade secrets case against India's Sterlite Technologies STTE.NS, which allegedly possessed information regarding clients, products, and Prysmian's manufacturing facilities expansion.
Funds advised by U.S. financial services company Fidelity held a 4.78% stake in the world's largest cable maker as of Aug. 6, a regulatory filing by Italy's market watchdog Consob showed on Monday.
MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI
The European Central Bank on July 26 issued the final report to participants in its 2024 cyber resiliency stress tests, the Tuscan bank said in its semi-annual report on Monday.
After being selected to take part in the assessment of banks' operational resiliency in the event of a major cyber attack, Monte dei Paschi said it took action in the first half to strengthen its resilience and comply with new DORA regulation by the end of the year.
LOTTOMATICA LTMC.MI
Berenberg said on Tuesday it started coverage of the gambling group with a "Buy" rating and a target price of 16.20 euros ($17.72).
AMPLIFON AMPF.MI
The hearing aid maker is studying new acquisitions and aims to extend its network to 10,000 stores worldwide from its current 9,900, la Repubblica reported on Tuesday. One of the initiatives to reach its goal is to convert stores of its Bay Audio brand in Australian shopping centres, initially in Sidney, the report added.
