CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield slips The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Friday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped. The loonie CAD= was trading 0.1% lower at C$1.3628 to the greenback, or 73.38 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3603 to 1.3653. Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 10.7 basis points to 3.502%.

However, revisions took some luster off the result. May was revised downward to 218k from 272k and April was revised down to 108k from 165k. June unemployment surprised to the topside with a 4.1% result versus the 4.0% estimate and against May's 4.0% print.
