Qatar Islamic Bank sells $750 mln in 5-year sukuk, document shows

Sept 10 (Reuters) -Qatar's biggest Islamic lender, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) QISB.QA has launched a $750 million 5-year sukuk, an arranging bank document showed on Tuesday.
The Islamic debt, which is expected to be priced later in the day, was sold at 100 basis points over U.S. Treasuries, narrowed from an opening price of 130 bps over the same benchmark disclosed earlier in the day, the document said.
The sukuk deal attracted over $1.8 billion in orders, the document added.
Bank ABC, Dukhan Bank, Emirates NBD Capital, HSBC, KFH Capital, Mashreq, Mizuho, QNB Capital, Q Invest, Standard Chartered Bank and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector are spearheading the debt transaction as joint lead managers and joint bookrunners, the document added.
Last November, the Qatari lender raised $500 million from the sale of 5-year sukuk at 115 bps over U.S. Treasuries.
The QIB is the largest Islamic lender in Qatar with around 36% of the total domestic Islamic assets and holds stakes in QInvest, Damaan Islamic Insurance and Al Jazeera Finance.
