Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline margins soften on slower trade
LONDON, Oct 9 (Reuters) -Northwest European gasoline refining margins fell to over $8 a barrel following sharp gains in the previous session, as U.S. inventories fell by more than expected.
A total of 13,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded in the Argus window, down from 21,000 tons on Tuesday. Exxon and Trafigura sold to Shell, BMV and Total.
Another 12,000 tons of Eurobob E10 traded which Shell and Exxon sold to Trafigura and Varo.
U.S. gasoline stocks USOILG=ECI fell by 6.3 million barrels last week to 214.9 million barrels, their lowest level since September 2023, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.1 million-barrel draw, Energy Information Administration data showed.
EU and UK gasoline exports have reached 475,000 barrels per day (bpd) so far in October, according to Kpler data, compared with 1 million bpd in September.
Global commodities broker Oil Brokerage said on Wednesday it had acquired rival Blue Commodities, as it seeks to increase its presence in physical oil market broking.
Oil Brokerage, a subsidiary of OTC Global Holdings, said the acquisition would bolster its position in physical fuel markets in Northwest Europe, the Mediterranean and West Africa.
Oil Brokerage is already one of the key brokers in the European gasoline market.
