ARA oil product stocks at lowest since Feb-Insights Global
LONDON, Aug 1 (Reuters) -Independently held refined oil products stocks in storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub fell by 1% in the week to Thursday, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed.
Total stocks were recorded at 5.81 million metric tons, their lowest since Feb. 22.
Gasoline stocks stood at about 1.07 million metric tons, rising 3.6% on the week.
Gasoline stocks rose despite a small rise in exports to the U.S. and West Africa, as more naphtha was added to gasoline blending tanks, Insight Global's Lars van Wageningen said.
Gasoil stocks were stable on the week at 2.01 million tons, breaking a five-week streak of stockdraws.
Stock levels have been supported by hefty imports from the Middle East and U.S., van Wageningen added.
Jet stocks fell 6% on the week to 927,000 tons, which was largely because of the summer peak air travel demand season according to van Wageningen.
Vessels carrying naphtha and jet fuel loaded from ARA storage embarked on relatively uncommon exports to Venezuela over the last week, Insights Global data showed.
