US Cash Grains-Soy, corn basis steady to lower as futures extend losses
CHICAGO, July 30 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for soybeans were steady to lower on Tuesday in the U.S. Midwest, spot checks showed, as futures prices extended theirslide a dayafter reaching lows not seen since 2020.
* Twosoybean processors in Decatur and Morristown, Indiana, dropped their basis bids by 10 cents per bushel, as did another processing site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
* The corn basis dropped 5 cents at a river terminal near Davenport, Iowa.
* Merchants say cash prices are weak as farmers feel the pressure to sell old crops and make way for the new harvest in storage bins.
* Most-active soybean futures Sv1 continued to hover near 2020 lows on Tuesday and corn futures also fell. GRA/
