Europe Distillates-Diesel refining margins end week higher
LONDON, July 26 (Reuters) -Northwest European diesel barge refining margins lost ground on the day on Friday but ended the week around 6.5% higher, after draws in inventories on both sides of the Atlantic this week.
Diesel barge refining margins in Northwest Europe shed around 85 cents on the day to $18.53 a barrel on Friday, but at that level were around 6.5% above last Friday's $17.40 a barrel.
No 10ppm diesel barges changed hands in the Platts window on Friday, after two barges had traded in the previous session.
Independently held diesel and gasoil stocks in storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub fell by 2.5% to 2.01 million metric tons in the week to Thursday, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed.
U.S. distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell last week by 2.8 million barrels to 125.3 million barrels, versus expectations for a 250,000 barrel build, EIA data showed.
