US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis bids sag as traders eye US crop yields
CHICAGO, Sept 16 (Reuters) -Basis bids for corn and soy in the U.S. Midwest were mostly flat to weaker on Monday, with large harvests underway, dealers said.
* The U.S. corn harvest was 9% complete by Sunday and the soybean harvest was 6% complete, federal government data showed.
* Anecdotal reports indicate corn yields are strong after dry weather accelerated the final development of crops, brokers said.
* The corn basis eased by 3 cents per bushel each at facilities in Decatur, Illinois, and Council Bluffs, Iowa. The corn basis fell by 10 cents per bushel at a port location in Toledo, Ohio.
* Corn and soy futures fell at the Chicago Board of Trade under pressure from U.S. harvesting. GRA/
