US Cash Grains-Corn basis steady to down at elevators and processors, mixed at river terminals
CHICAGO, Oct 9 (Reuters) -Basis bids for corn were steady to lower at elevators and processors and mixed at river terminals in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday. Soybeans were steady to higher at river terminals.
* Dry weather continues to speed along the U.S. soybean and corn harvest.
* The spot corn basis fell by 5 cents at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and 3 cents at another in Blair, Nebraska.
* The corn basis was down by 5 cents at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa, but up by 2 cents at a river terminal in Savanna, Illinois.
* The spot soybean basis was up 10 cents at the river terminal in Davenport.
* Chicago Board of Trade soybean and corn futures bounced back after slumping the previous day.
* Most-active corn Cv1 futures rose 3/4 cent to $4.21-1/2 and soybean Sv1 futures rose 5 cents to $10.21-1/4 around 11:43 a.m. CDT.
