ISTANBUL, Sept 30 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.2005 against the U.S. dollar at 0138 GMT, weakening from a close of 34.1750 on Friday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asia share markets turned hesitant on Monday as strife in the Middle East offset more stimulus measures in China, while the Nikkei dived on concerns Japan's new prime minister favoured normalising interest rates.


CABINET MEETING

President Tayyip Erdogan chairs a meeting of the cabinet of ministers, with Israel's strikes on Lebanon and the Gaza conflict expected to top the agenda, alongside economic developments. (1200 GMT)


BANKING DATA

The BDDK banking watchdog will announce banking data for August. (1100 GMT)


BORROWING PROGRAMME

The Treasury will announce its domestic borrowing programme for the October-December period. (1400 GMT)


DEBT STOCK DATA

The Treasury will announce the EU-defined general government debt stock data for the April-June period. (0900 GMT)


LEBANON

President Erdogan on Saturday condemned Israel's recent attacks in Lebanon as part of what he called an Israeli policy of "genocide, occupation, and invasion", urging the U.N. Security Council and other bodies to stop Israel.


HEZBOLLAH'S NASRALLAH

Turkey's foreign minister said on Saturday that Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was an important figure for Lebanon and the region and would be hard to replace after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut a day earlier.


OPPOSITION LEADER

Ozgur Ozel, leader of the main opposition People's Republican Party (CHP), will observe the court case regarding a political figure's murder, and meet the co-head of the German Social Democratic Party. (0800 GMT)


TRADE MINISTER

Trade Minister Omer Bolat attend the "Balkan Competition Platform" programme in Istanbul. (0530 GMT)
