ECONOMY

Bank of Italy releases August data on foreign investors holdings of Italian government bonds.


DEBT

(*) Italy faces a round of credit rating agency reviews over the next few weeks with realistic hopes of an upgrade thanks to a rapidly narrowing fiscal deficit, analysts said, although concerns about Rome's huge debt pile remain.

Fitch and S&P Global will publish their reviews of sovereign debt rating on Friday.

Italy's Treasury said on Thursday it would offer up to 3 billion euros ($3.25 billion) of two BTP bonds, buying back five bonds maturing between 2025 and 2026.

Italian investment bank Finint has contacted potential investors, including Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, the son of Luxottica founder Leonardo Del Vecchio, to explore the possibility of setting up a consortium which could buy part of the government's stake in the bailed-out bank, daily MF reported on Friday.

Russia expects the local subsidiaries of European banks Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) and UniCredit to participate in the mass launch of the digital roublein July 2025 or face potential fines, the central bank said on Thursday.

The regional utility submitted a bid for the tender to buy Rivieracqua, a local water service company, and is targeting large hydroelectric concessions in Piedmont, Iren's Chief Exectuive Gianluca Bufo told Il Giornale in an interview published on Friday.

The Italian gas grid operator will fold its 50% stake in a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in the Adriatic into Eni's CCS unit, its CEO said on Thursday, adding the gas grid could further invest in this spin-off.

Snam CEO said on Thursday the gas grid has not changed its mind on Italgas, confirming the group would keep its financial exposure on the gas distributor unchanged and would not buy into a future capital increase.


SAIPEM SPMI.MI

Brazil's Federal Court lifted a two-year ban against two units of the Italian energy engineering group on contracting with the country's public administration, the company said on Thursday.


BRUNELLO CUCINELLI BCU.MI

Revenues at Brunello Cucinelli rose 12.7% at constant exchange rates in the first nine months of the year, driven by double digit growth in the Americas and in Asia, the Italian luxury group said on Thursday.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni travels to Jordan and Lebanon and will meet Jordan King Abdallah II in Aqaba, Jordan (0900 GMT) Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati in Beirut, Lebanon (1330 GMT) and Lebanese President Nabih Berri (1430 GMT). The Prime Minister could also visit Italian soldiers with the UNIFIL force.
