CRYPTO SECTOR POSTS INFLOWS FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK

Digital asset investment products saw inflows for a third straight week amounting to $1.2 billion as of the week ended Sept. 27, according to the weekly flows report from asset manager CoinShares.

Assets under management for the sector grew 6.2% last week to $92.7 billion, the report showed.

Coinshares said the inflows were likely the result of the shift in monetary policy by the Federal Reserve to an easing cycle, which boosted risk appetite overall.

Bitcoin saw inflows of $1 billion, the data showed, fueling further inflows into short-bitcoin investment products of $8.8 million.

Ethereum broke its five-week spell of outflows, to show inflows last week of $87 million, the first since early-August. Solana, on the other hand, saw $4.8 million in outflows.

Sentiment was mixed in altcoins, with Litecoin and XRP seeing inflows of $2 million and $800,000 respectively. Binance and Stacks saw outflows of $1.2 million and $900,000 respectively.

By region, the United States and Switzerland saw the largest inflows for the week, with $1.2 billion and $84 million, respectively. Switzerland's inflows of 84 million were the largest since mid-2022.
