S&P 500 ends flat; health insurer declines offset chip gains
Dow ends up ~0.4%, while S&P 500, Nasdaq close roughly flat

S&P 500 ENDS FLAT; HEALTH INSURER DECLINES OFFSET CHIP GAINS
The Dow .DJI posted another record closing high on Thursday, while the S&P 500 .SPX ended just 0.02% lower after reaching an intraday record high at the start of the session. The Nasdaq .IXIC ended barely higher.
Gains in tech, led by chipmakers, were offset by declines in health insurers, with shares of Elevance Health ELV.N falling more than 10% after it gave a disappointing forecast. Shares of Molina Healthcare MOH.N dropped 12.5%.
Also, utilities .SPLRCU ended down 0.9% after the sector registered a record closing high on Wednesday.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co's 2330.TW upbeat forecast drove shares of chipmakers higher, and U.S.-listed shares of TSMC TSM.N rose 9.8%, while an index of chipmakers .SOX finished about 1% higher.
S&P 500 financials .SPSY and materials .SPLRCM also managed record closing highs.
