US Cash Grains-Soy and corn bids increase on weak futures
CHICAGO, June 24 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for soybeans and corn increased on Monday in the U.S. Midwest as relatively weak futures prices supported basis offers, an analyst said.
* Market players are closely monitoring weather in the U.S. Midwest, where conditions have varied from flooding to intense heat.
* Soybean basis bids increased by 15 cents at a processor in Decatur, Indiana, and ticked up by one cent at an Iowa river terminal.
* Chicago Board of Trade July soybeans SN24 dipped to multi-month lows last week but rebounded on Monday. Other futures contracts set new lows on Monday before rising.
* Buyers sought to incentivize farmer selling amid relatively strong crush margins.
* Corn basis bids increased by 4 cents at a corn processor in Iowa and by 5 cents at a processor in Nebraska.
* The wheat basis bid increased by 5 cents at an elevator in Toledo, Ohio.
* Hefty global grain supplies and improved outlooks for Russian wheat production weighed on CBOT corn and wheat futures. GRA/
* At mid-session, CBOT July soybean futures SN24 were up 5-3/4 cents at $11.66-1/4 per bushel while July corn CN24 was down 7-1/4 cents at $4.27-1/2 a bushel.
