POLITICS
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met the head of the U.S. fund BlackRock Inc BLK.N Larry Fink in Rome on Monday to discuss possible investments in data centres and related supporting energy infrastructure, Meloni's office said.
ECONOMY
September PMI manufacturing HCOB data (0745 GMT).

Italy fears that the lender may shift its central offices to Germany as part of any deal with Commerzbank CBKG.DE, government officials said, adding Rome expects to have a say in the matter based on its 'golden power' rules.
Responding to a question about a possible merger between these two banks, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said on Monday mergers between European banks are "desirable" if they help them compete with their U.S. and Chinese rivals.
STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
The automaker's shares closed down 14.7% on Monday after Europe's second biggest carmaker cut its 2024 profit forecast and warned it will burn through more cash than expected. The group joined bigger rival Volkswagen VOWG_p.DE and others in warning about the worsening outlook for auto demand and rising costs, wiping billions of euros off the sector's market value.
(*) Stellantis said on Monday it is recalling 194,000 plug-in hybrid electric Jeep SUVs, mostly in the U.S., to address fire risks after 13 fires were reported, and it told owners to park outside and away from other vehicles until recall repairs are completed.

The Italian defence group is working on "specific mergers and acquisitions in advanced technologies, such as quantum technologies and AI, both in the infrastructure and services sectors", the new managing director of Leonardo's Space business unit Massimo Comparini told Il Sole24 Ore daily.

Exor EXOR.AS, the holding company of the Agnelli family, would ask at least 1 billion euros to sell to the Italian state-controlled defence group the Iveco Defence Vehicles military vehicles unit, Il Fatto Quotidiano newspaper said on Tuesday.

The CEO of the U.S. investment fund BlackRock, Larry Fink, saw Enel CEO Flavio Cattaneo on Monday before meeting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Il Messaggero daily said on Tuesday. The focus of the meeting was BlackRock's interest in power plants that could be converted into data centres for AI, the newspaper added.

The Italian luxury sneaker group aims to go public in early 2025, daily Corriere della Sera quoted CEO Silvio Campara as saying.
