DEBT
Rating agency Fitch Ratings on Friday affirmed its debt rating on the Republic of Italy at 'BBB', with a stable outlook.
(*) Italian small savers will likely rush to buy a new retail bond the Treasury is offering this week, market sources said, taking advantage of the last opportunity to lock in higher returns before the European Central Bank starts cutting interest rates.
Treasury announces sale of 12-month BOT bills, with relative amounts to be auctioned on May 9.

INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI
Italy's largest bank beat forecasts on Friday with an 18% yearly rise in net profit in the first quarter, helped by a recovery in net fees and lower-than-expected loan loss provisions. It confirmed its profit outlook for this year and the next.
The lender also said on Friday it had acquired some 90,000 new customers through its digital-only arm, Isybank, after an antitrust decision effectively halted the migration of existing clients.
TOD'S TOD.MI
L Catterton, a private equity firm backed by French luxury group LVMH LVMH.PA succeeded on Friday in securing enough shares in the Italian luxury shoemaker to take it private in agreement with the group's main shareholder, the Della Valle family.
ENI ENI.MI
Azule Energy, a joint venture between Italy's oil major and British BP, and Rhino Resources Namibia have signed an agreement for a 42.5% interest in a block in the country's offshore Orange Basin, the companies said on Friday.

Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw at AS Roma on Sunday, missing the chance to close in on AC Milan in second place in Serie A, while Lazio drew away against Monza.

The two companies said on Monday they had joined forces to develop "a new solution" to support the digital transformation of infrastructures in which CAREL, a world leader in control solutions for conditioning and refrigeration, operates.
Seco is active in the artificial intelligence sector.
