** Italy aims to sell up to around 15% of Monte dei Paschi di Siena BMPS.MI in an upcoming share placement, reducing the government's stake in the bailed-out bank to as low as 12%, two sources close to the matter told Reuters on Friday. nL8N3LG1BG
** U.S.-based Coeur Mining CDE.N will buy North American peer SilverCrest Metals SIL.TO for about $1.7 billion, the companies said on Friday, as miners look to secure reserves amid surging demand for silver. nL4N3LG0P1
** Private equity firm Apollo Global Management APO.N is in talks to acquire Barnes Group B.N, a manufacturer of aerospace components with a market value of about $2 billion, people familiar with the matter said on Thursday. nL1N3LG0KC
** Credit data company Experian EXPN.L has agreed to buy Brazilian cyber security firm ClearSale CLSA3.SA, it said, in a $350 million expansion of its footprint in Latin America's largest economy. nL1N3LG0BW
** Tellurian TELL.A shareholders have voted in favor of the U.S. LNG developer's proposed $1.2 billion acquisition by Australian energy producer Woodside Energy Group WDS.AX, the company said on Friday. nL4N3LG0WL
** Europe's biggest gas distributor Italgas IG.MI is nearing an agreement on a proposed 5 billion euro ($5.51 billion) deal to acquire its main domestic rival, 2i Rete Gas, Bloomberg News reported. nL4N3LG0ST
** Japan's Seven & i Holdings 3382.T is considering selling a stake in its supermarket unit ahead of a planned listing of the business, two sources said, as the 7-Eleven owner aims to speed up an overhaul after rejecting a takeover from Alimentation Couche-Tard ATD.TO. nL4N3LG0IX
** Britain's competition regulator said it has cleared Barratt's BDEV.L 2.52 billion pound ($3.32 billion) all-stock acquisition of smaller rival Redrow, after accepting the undertakings offered by the two homebuilders. nL4N3LG0PI
** Italian pharma group Recordati RECI.MI said it would buy from Sanofi SASY.PA the global rights to a drug used to treat cold agglutinin disease, a rare autoimmune disorder, for $825 million, sending both stocks up in early trade. nL1N3LG05Q
** U.S. bank JPMorgan Chase & Co JPM.N has become a substantial shareholder in Star Entertainment SGR.AX, an exchange filing showed, as shares of the embattled Australian casino operator have fallen sharply in last few years amid liquidity issues. nL4N3LG00T
