XM does not provide services to residents of the United States of America.
XM has recently donated to the Tzaneio Hospital in Piraeus, Greece, to support the renovation of the First Surgical Clinic – Laparoscopic Unit.
The Tzaneio Hospital will house a state-of-the-art Center of Excellence in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery. Using the new facilities, trainee surgeons and students at the Athens Medical School will be trained at a modern, first-class facility where visiting professors can provide courses and perform surgeries while being observed and studied by the next generation of life-savers. Above all, it provides patients with the best treatment options and facilities available in the upgraded premises.
Our donation will be used to purchase equipment for the clinic such as wheelchairs, a nurses’ station, patient bedside tables, pharmacy equipment, and a cardiograph.
Our donation will also go towards the development of a Digital Operating Room that offers enormous possibilities to surgeons and will help them carry out their work with maximum precision and safety, achieving excellent surgical results and reducing patient complications. It will also further the training of specialized surgeons and students who will be able to observe operations both in auditoriums and in the clinic with simultaneous interactive telesurgery in the operating room in real time.
Every day, the medical community makes breakthroughs in the fight against the most complex diseases because the brightest minds are able to come together to share their knowledge and research, which can transform medicine and give hope to those who suffer. At XM, we believe innovation in medicine is the cornerstone of building a healthier and happier society and investing in medical excellence like the Tzaneio Hospital renovation helps us to do our part.
