ISTANBUL, Nov 26 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 34.6000-34.6270 against the U.S. dollar at 0330 GMT, compared with a close of 34.6000 on Monday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.15% higher at 9,659.96 points on Monday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
The dollar rallied sharply on Tuesday after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump pledged tariffs on all imports from Canada and Mexico, and additional tariffs on China.
ERDOGAN SCHEDULE
President Tayyip Erdogan will make a speech at the seventh meeting of the Islamic Council. (1100 GMT)
FIDAN IN PORTUGAL
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend the 10th global forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations in Portugal.
GAZA REPORT
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus and Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc will attend the launch programme of the "Human Rights Violations in Palestine and the Gaza Genocide" report. (1030 GMT)
PARLIAMENT MEETINGS
The government allied MHP (0745 GMT), the pro-Kurdish DEM (0945 GMT) and the main opposition CHP (1030 GMT) will hold their parliamentary group meetings.
MUSIAD FAIR
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will attend the MUSIAD Expo 2024 international trade fair, along with Trade Minister Omer Bolat. (0700 GMT)
