ISTANBUL, Nov 20 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.4805 against the U.S. dollar at 0355 GMT, weakening from a close of 34.45 on Tuesday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.73% lower at 9,232.90 points on Tuesday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian shares were cautious on Wednesday as investors looked ahead to earnings results from AI darling Nvidia where the risk of disappointment is high, while the dollar gave back a little of its recent bumper gains.


ERDOGAN IN G20

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Russia had to take steps to protect itself, after being asked about Russia lowering the threshold for a nuclear strike, adding NATO should review the Russian statement carefully.


TRANSPORT MINISTER

Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will attend a roundtable meeting on urban transportation and infrastructure as part of COP29 conference.


ISRAEL

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Turkey refused to allow Israeli President Isaac Herzog to use its airspace to attend the COP climate summit in Azerbaijan, highlighting Ankara's stance amid tensions with Israel.


DEBT STOCK

The Treasury and Finance Ministry will announce October central government debt stock data. (1430 GMT)
