Adds Central Bank's reserve requirements measure

ANKARA, Dec 19 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 35.0445-34.0460 against the U.S. dollar at 0500 GMT, after closing at 35.0400 on Wednesday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.91% lower at 9,915.76 points on Wednesday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks slipped and the dollar was perched near a two-year high on Thursday after the U.S. Federal Reserve cautioned it would ease the pace of rate cuts in the coming year, while the Bank of Japan kept rates steady, as expected.


ERDOGAN SCHEDULE

President Tayyip Erdogan will attend the D-8 Summit Meeting in Cairo, Egypt. He will attend the opening session and the special session on the situation in Palestine and Lebanon, and is expected to hold bilateral meetings.


PHONE CALL WITH MACRON

French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkey's Tayyip Erdogan agreed that the transition in Syria should be respectful of the rights of all communities in the country, the French presidency said after the leaders spoke by phone on Wednesday.


FINANCE SUMMIT

Vice President Cevdet YIlmaz will attend the Turkmedia Finance Summit. (1030)


PARLIAMENT

Parliament's general assembly will hold a debate on the 2025 budget of the central government. (0800 GMT)

MAIN OPPOSITION PARTY

Ozgur Ozel, leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), will visit ousted mayor Ahmet Ozer in prison.


MINIMUM WAGE

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its third meeting to determine the minimum wage to be valid as of January 1, 2025. (0830)


CENTRAL BANK DATA

The Central Bank will release weekly money and banking, foreign exchange reserve, and securities movements data. (1130)


RESERVE REQUIREMENTS

The Turkish central bank amended the temporary application article for foreign currency liabilities subject to reserve requirements (RR), extending the zero RR rate for foreign currency liabilities by one year and increasing the 6-month maturity limit criterion to 1 year.
