Dow registers record close along with several sectors
Dow up ~0.8%, S&P 500 up ~0.5%; Nasdaq up ~0.3%
Utilities lead S&P 500 sectors gainers; Comm Svcs weakest group
Dollar, gold up; bitcoin up >2%; crude ~flat
U.S. 10-Year Treasury yield edges down to ~4.02%

DOW REGISTERS RECORD CLOSE ALONG WITH SEVERAL SECTORS
U.S. stocks ended higher on Wednesday, with the Dow .DJI posting a record closing high and a number of the major S&P 500 sectors did as well.
S&P 500 financials .SPSY, utilities .SPLRCU, materials .SPLRCM and industrials .SPLRCI all posted record closing highs.
The utilities index gained 2% on the day. Amazon.com AMZN.O said on Wednesday it has signed three agreements on developing the nuclear power technology called small modular reactors, becoming the latest big tech company to push for new sources to meet surging electricity demand from data centers.
Morgan Stanley shares MS.N rose 6.5% following an upbeat quarterly.
Nvidia NVDA.O rose 3.1% after falling sharply in the previous session.
Small- and mid-caps also outperformed the broader market, with the S&P 400 mid-cap index .IDX posting a record closing high and the Russell 2000 small-cap index .RUT climbing 1.6%.
