Brazil central bank to offer up to $4 bln in swap auctions with repurchase deal
Adds context in paragraph 3, details of the auctions in paragraph 4
SAO PAULO, Nov 12 (Reuters) -Brazil's central bank announced on Tuesday it will offer up to $4 billion in two swap auctions with repurchase agreements on Wednesday morning.
The bank said it will hold the auctions at 10:30 a.m. local time on Wednesday, offering in each of them up to $2 billion.
Brazil's real in recent sessions reached its weakest in several years against the U.S. dollar, amid local government hesitation to release a fiscal package with spending cut measures and volatility caused by the U.S. presidential elections.
The central bank, which most recently carried out an additional swap auction in September, said in a statement that the repurchase dates for Wednesday's auction are April 2 and July 2 of next year.
