W. Africa Crude-Bonny Light buying interest fades
LONDON, Nov 27 (Reuters) -Mercuria did not return to bid for Nigerian Bonny Light in the Platts window on Wednesday, as West African grades remain under pressure from lacklustre demand.
* There were no bids or offers in the Platts window on Wednesday, a trade source said, after Mercuria bid for two Bonny Light cargoes, both with loading dates of Dec. 30 to Jan. 10, at dated Brent plus 90 cents on Tuesday.
* Bonny Light was most recently valued at about dated Brent plus $1.00 free on board (FOB), trade sources told Reuters on Tuesday.
* A nascent price recovery in light sweet North Sea grades is not spreading to other parts of Europe or West Africa, said Sparta Commodities analyst Neil Crosby in a note on Tuesday.
* Demand for West African crudes remains lacklustre, a trader said on Friday.
* Exports of four key Nigerian crude oil grades - Qua Iboe, Bonny Light, Bonga and Forcados - will reach 841,000 barrels per day (bpd) in January, preliminary programmes seen by Reuters on Tuesday showed, up from a combined 770,000 bpd scheduled to load in December.
* More Nigerian crude is heading to Asia this month, Kpler data show. Loadings for Asia so far in November have reached 414,000 bpd, up from 230,000 bpd in October.
