Adds detail, shipment periods from paragraph 3

HAMBURG, Nov 22 (Reuters) -Turkey's state grain board TMO has issued an international tender to sell and export about 150,000 metric tons of animal feed barley, European traders said on Friday.

The deadline for submission of price offers in the tender is Nov. 28.

Barley ship loading should be undertaken between Dec. 18, 2024, and Jan. 13, 2025.

Six consignments of 25,000 tons are offered for purchase.

Three shipments each should be loaded in the ports of Iskenderun and Mersin.

Turkey banned wheat imports this autumn after a good harvest, partly to protect farmers from low prices.

Some traders said Turkey has ample domestic grain supplies and needs to free-up some storage capacity with the barley export tender.
