MOSCOW, Sept 2 (Reuters) -Urals crude oil differentials to dated Brent firmed on Monday amid softer freight rates for Russian oil transportation, traders said.

Freight rates to ship Russia's Urals crude to India have fallen further and remain at their lowest since Western countries introduced a price cap late in 2022, boosting the economics of Moscow's oil exports, industry sources told Reuters on Monday.

CPC Blend oil differentials also firmed amid high demand for October cargoes and low supply in the region due to Libya's oil output outages.

PLATTS WINDOW

  • Shell bid for 90,000 tons of CPC Blend loading Oct. 3-7 at dated Brent minus $0.15 per barrel, firmer than previous estimates, but failed to find a seller, traders said.

  • There were no bids or offers for Urals or Azeri BTC in the Platts window on Monday.

NEWS

  • OPEC oil output fell in August to its lowest since January, a Reuters survey found on Monday, as unrest that disrupted Libyan supply added to the impact of ongoing voluntary supply cuts by other members and the wider OPEC+ alliance.
