Forward prices set for weekly gain as water reserves decline

July 19 (Reuters) -Nordic forward power prices rose on Friday and were set to log a weekly gain as water levels dipped in the hydropower-reliant region despite forecasts for a wetter weather.

* The Nordic front-quarter contract ENOFBLQc1 rose 1.25 euros to 46.5 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh) at 1105 GMT. The contract added about 6.3% so far this week.

* The Nordic front-year contract ENOFBLYc1 gained 0.4 euro to 42.75 euros and added about 2.8% so far this week.

* Nordic water reserves available 15 days ahead PCAEC00 were seen at 4.53 terawatt hours (TWh) below normal compared with 0.95 TWh below normal on Thursday.

* "The market still has eyes on the weather forecasts, that remain somewhat wetter than average," Energi Danmark said in a note.

* Germany's Cal'25 baseload TRDEBYc1, Europe's benchmark contract, fell 0.20 euro to 87.80 euros/MWh.

* Carbon front-year allowances CFI2Zc1 steadied at 66.35 euros a tonne.

* "Next week will be generally cloudier with increasing rain and shower activity," according to Georg Muller, a meteorologist at LSEG.

* The Nordic power price for next-day physical delivery FXSYSAL=NPX, or system price, fell 5.9 euros or 21.7% to 21.24 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).
