CHICAGO, Dec 16 (Reuters) -Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Monday.

WHEAT - Up 5 to 7 cents per bushel

* Wheat gained as a purchase from Saudi Arabia indicated stronger demand while traders looked to buy at weaker prices set last week, according to analysts.

* Saudi Arabia's main state wheat buying agency the General Food Security Authority has purchased 804,000 metric tons of hard wheat in an international tender, well above the 595,000 tons it sought in the tender, the agency said on Monday.

* Dryness building in wheat growing areas of the Central and Southern Plains underpinned the market.

* CBOT March soft red winter wheat WH25 was last up 5-1/4 cents at $5.57-1/2 a bushel. K.C. March hard red winter wheat KWH25 was last up 8 cents at $5.65 a bushel and Minneapolis March spring wheat MWEH25 was last up 6-1/4 cents at $6.04-3/4 a bushel.

CORN - Up 1 to 2 cents per bushel

* Chicago corn ticked up on buying interest after falling last week but faced resistance as favorable South American weather benefited the crop.

* Corn rose to its highest level since June last week, but fell on disappointing export sales.

* Corn-growing areas of South America were expected to receive showers over the next two weeks that would aid crop development, according to analysts.

* CBOT March corn CH25 was last up 2 cents at $4.44 a bushel.

SOYBEANS - Up 1 to 4 cents per bushel

* Chicago soybean futures edged up ahead of a National Oilseed Processor's Association report expected to show a record daily soy crush pace last month as well as bargain buying after last week's low prices.

* Analysts polled by Reuters said the daily soybean processing rate in November likely rose to the highest on record, although the total crush dipped from an all-time high a month earlier due to one less day on the calendar.

* Brazil's 2024/25 soybean planting is virtually complete, agribusiness consultancy AgRural said on Monday, adding that recent rains have provided favorable crop development conditions in most of the country.

* CBOT January soybeans SF25 were last up 4 cents at $9.92-1/4 per bushel.
