CHICAGO, Sept 18 (Reuters) -Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Wednesday.

NOTE: The U.S. Federal Reserve will announce its latest interest rate decision at 1 p.m. CDT (1800 GMT).

WHEAT - Up 2 to 4 cents per bushel

* CBOT wheat futures head higher following early strength in soybean and corn futures, although the benchmark December WZ24 wheat contract stayed inside Tuesday's trading range in early moves. Strong export competition from Black Sea wheat supplies limits rallies.

* FranceAgriMer lowered its forecast for French soft wheat exports in 2024/25, after a rain-hit harvest cut supplies in the European Union's top grain producer.

* Ukraine has so far kept its forecast of winter wheat seedings for 2025 at an area of 4.5 to 5 million hectares despite the drought that has affected almost all regions, the country's first deputy farm minister said.

* CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ24 was last up 3-1/2 cents at $5.79-1/4 a bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ24 was last up 5 cents at $5.85 a bushel, and MGEX December spring wheat MWEZ24 was last up 1-1/2 cents at $6.22-1/2 a bushel.

CORN - Steady to up 1 cent per bushel

* Corn futures seen steady to fractionally higher as traders wait to learn more about U.S. yields from the expanding harvest in the Midwest crop belt. The most-active December corn contract CZ24 reached $4.14-3/4 a bushel in early moves, its highest since Sept. 6.

* Commodity funds hold a sizable net short position in CBOT corn futures, leaving the market open to bouts of short-covering.

* CBOT December corn CZ24 was last up 3/4 cent at $4.13-1/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Up 9 to 10 cents per bushel

* Soybean futures climb as traders monitor heat and dryness in top global soy producer Brazil that threaten soybean seeding. However, Brazilian statistics agency Conab on Tuesday projected the country's 2024/25 soybean crop at 166.28 million metric tons, up 12.8% from the previous season.

* Market players continue to watch for yield reports as the soybean harvest gets rolling in the U.S. Midwest crop belt.

* CBOT November soybeans SX24 were last up 10-1/4 cents at $10.16-1/4 per bushel.
