CBOT Calls-Wheat and corn steady-down 3 cents, soy steady-up 4 cents
Nov 29 (Reuters) -Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Friday:
NOTE: CBOT grain and oilseed trading closes early on Friday at 12:05 p.m. CST (1805 GMT). Markets were closed on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
WHEAT - Steady to down 3 cents per bushel
* Weather conditions for the U.S. wheat crop continue to look largely benign, with threats of damage from cold weather confined to the far Northern Plains so far, analysts said.
* The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported weekly 2024-25 U.S. wheatexport sales of 366,800 metric tons, in line with trade expectations for 200,000-600,000 metric tons.
* Soft wheat sowing in France is ahead of the average pace, with drier weather helping farmers make progress afterrain delays, data from farm office FranceAgriMer showed.
* CBOT March soft red winter wheat WH25 closed at $5.48-1/2 per bushel on Nov. 27. K.C. March hard red winter wheat KWH25 closed at $5.44-1/2 a bushel, and Minneapolis March spring wheat MWEH25 closed at $5.91-1/4 a bushel.
CORN - Steady to down 3 cents per bushel
* Showers in Brazil and Argentina continue to aid crop development, according to Commodity Weather Group.
* The USDA reported weekly 2024-25 U.S. cornexport sales of 1.1 million metric tons, within trade estimates of 800,000-2,000,000 metric tons.
* CBOT March corn CH25 closed at $4.28 per bushel on Nov. 27.
SOYBEANS - Steady to up 4 cents per bushel
* Rain in South America continued to support crop development, Commodity Weather Group said.
* The USDA reported weekly 2024-25 U.S. soybeanexport sales of 2.5 million metric tons, above trade estimates for 1.5 million to 2.4 million.
* The USDA also said in a daily reporting system thatexporters sold 840,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans and 151,700 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to unknown destinations for 2024-25 delivery.
* CBOT January soybeans SF25 closed at $9.88-3/4 a bushel on Nov. 27.
