US Cash Grains-Corn and soy basis mixed in the US Midwest
CHICAGO, July 16 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for corn and soy were mixed in the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday, as crop prices continued to hover near multi-year lows.
* The corn basis ticked up at two ethanol plants, a processor and a river terminal and decreased at an Illinois processor and Illinois river terminal.
* The soy basis decreased at an elevator, river terminal and processor and increased at a river terminal.
* After the market closed on Monday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) rated 68% of the U.S. corn and soybean crops in "good to excellent" condition, unchanged from the previous week.
* The ratings were still the highest for this time of the year for both crops since 2020, and good crop prospects have weighed heavily on futures.
* Most-active corn futures Cv1 continue to linger near a 2020 low, while soy futures Sv1 hit a 2020 low.GRA/
