Sept 12 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 1.2%.


* GSK: British drugmaker GSK GSK.L announced positive results from its mid-stage trial of its seasonal influenza vaccine programme using the messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, saying it would now progress to late-stage clinical development.

* JOHN LEWIS: British retailer John Lewis Partnership reported a 91% reduction in first-half losses and said it was on track to deliver "significantly higher" full-year profit as its turnaround plan gathers pace.

* FEVER TREE: British beverage maker Fevertree Drinks FEVR.L cut its annual revenue growth forecast as the tonic and cocktail mixer maker faced wet weather in the UK and Europe at the start of its key summer season.

* BANK OF ENGLAND: The Bank of England is pushing ahead with the rollout of revised new rules on how much capital UK banks must set aside to cope with future crises, as it juggles efforts to shock-proof lenders without hurting their global commercial interests.

* RIO TINTO: A Native American group on Wednesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to block Rio Tinto RIO.L and BHP BHP.AX from gaining access to Arizona land.

* STANDARD CHARTERED: Standard Chartered will offer the first commercial debt to a technological carbon removal firm after British Airways agreed to an advance purchase of more than 4,000 tonnes of credits from project developer UNDO, the lender told Reuters.

* OIL: Oil prices rose more than 1%.

* GOLD: Gold prices edged higher on Thursday.

* EX-DIVS: Direct Line DLGD.L, M&G MNG.L, Costain Group COSG.L and Trifast Plc TRFT.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday.
