UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Sept 12
Sept 12 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 1.03%.
* RIO TINTO:A Native American group on Wednesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to block Rio Tinto RIO.L and BHP BHP.AX from gaining access to Arizona land needed to build one of the world's largest copper mines.
* STANDARD CHARTERED:Standard Chartered will offer the first commercial debt to a technological carbon removal firm after British Airways agreed to an advance purchase of more than 4,000 tonnes of credits from project developer UNDO, the lender told Reuters.
* DATA CENTRES:Britain's data centres will be classified "critical national infrastructure", the government said on Thursday, giving the servers and I.T. systems that underpin the country's communications extra protection from cyber attacks.
* PAY GROWTH:Pay awards granted by British employers fell during the three months to July, according to a survey.
* HOUSING:British property surveyors expect sales to continue to grow in the coming months after a gauge of house prices turned positive for the first time in nearly two years, though concerns remained about affordability despite easing borrowing costs.
* OIL:Oil prices rose during Asian trade on Thursday.
* GOLD:Gold prices edged higher on Thursday.
* METALS:Prices of base metals rose on Thursday.
* EX-DIVS:Direct Line DLGD.L, M&G MNG.L, Costain Group COSG.L and Trifast Plc TRFT.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday.
* The UK's benchmark FTSE 100 stock index ended lower on Wednesday, led by a decline in Rentokil shares after the pest control company warned on North America weakness, while investors assessed the latest U.S. inflation numbers.
