UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Oct. 29

Oct 29 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher onTuesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.3%.
* BP: BP BP.L reported higher-than-expected third-quarter profits of $2.3 billion, their lowest in almost four years, weighed down by a drop in refining profits and weaker oil trading.
* PEARSON: British education company Pearson PSON.L reported a 5% growth in underlying sales in its third quarter on Tuesday, boosted by stronger performance in assessment and qualifications, and it said it was on track to meet market expectations for the year.
* IQE: British semiconductor wafer maker IQE IQE.L said its CEO, Americo Lemos, has left the company with immediate effect and finance chief Jutta Meier will take interim charge.
* SERICA ENERGY: UK's Serica Energy SQZ.L said it expects full-year production to be slightly below its previous forecast due an outage at its Triton floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel in the North Sea.
* HSBC: HSBC Holdings HSBA.L posted a 10% rise in third-quarter profit, beating analyst estimates, as its wealth and wholesale banking benefited from slower-than-expected rate cuts, while it embarks on one of the largest overhauls in its history.
* SHOP PRICES: Prices in British shops fell at the fastest pace in more than three years this month, but this week's budget announcement by finance minister Rachel Reeves could help spur a return of inflation, the British Retail Consortium said.
* SANTANDER UK: The UK arm of Spain's Santander SANS_pa.L postponed the release of its third-quarter results while it assesses the impact of a court ruling on motor finance commissions.
* OIL: Oil prices were little changed after falling in the previous session.
