* OIL: Oil eased on Friday after a rally the previous day, but prices remained set for a second straight weekly gain as investors weighed the impact of hurricane damage on U.S. demand against any broad supply disruption if Israel attacks Iranian oil sites.

* METALS: Base metals prices rose on Friday, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar, although they were down on a weekly basis in London as a recent rally in prices hurt physical demand.

* GOLD: Gold prices climbed on Friday after recent data supported bets for a Federal Reserve interest rate cut next month, while market participants awaited the U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) report for further direction.

* The UK's main stock indexes slipped on Thursday as some of the companies traded without the entitlement of their dividend pay-outs, while GSK shares jumped following the settlement of its lawsuits in the United States.
