UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Oct 1
Adds new items, updates futures
Oct 1 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher, with futures FFIc1 up 0.4%.
* HALEON: PfizerPFE.N offloaded shares worth roughly $3.26 billion in HaleonHLN.L at 380 pence apiece,cutting its stake to 15% in the world's largest standalone consumer healthcare firm, a bookrunner said.
* MULBERRY: British luxury brand MulberryMUL.L rejected sportswear retailer Frasers'FRAS.L 83-million-pound ($111.01 million) takeover proposal, citing the bid did not have the support of majority shareholder Challice.
* RIO TINTO: Rio TintoRIO.AX, RIO.L has signed anagreement with UK refinery developer Green Lithium to develop a lithium supply chain securing critical battery metal supplies for the UK and EU's automotive and manufacturing sectors, the companies said.
* GREGGS: British baker and fast food chain GreggsGRG.L kept its full year outlook, though underlying sales growth slowed in its latest quarter.
* UNILEVER: Unilever ULVR.L is working on sustainability deals with its top 10 retail customers, including Walmart WMT.N, aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions and minimising waste in its supply chain, the consumer giant's CEO said on Monday.
* BABY FORMULA: A Missouri mother and her lawyers this week will aim to convince a jury that Abbott ABT.N, Reckitt's RKT.L Mead Johnson and St. Louis Children's Hospital are responsible for a severe intestinal illness that she says her premature son got from the companies' formulas after he was born at the hospital.
* OIL: Oil prices werelittle changed as stronger supply prospects and tepid global demand growth outweighed worries that escalating tensions in the Middle East could impact output from the key exporting region.
* GOLD: Gold prices were hovering below recent record peaks.
