Nov 18 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower onMonday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.05%.


* MELROSE: Melrose IndustriesMRON.L, the owner of aerospace parts maker GKN Aerospace, reported a 7%rise in revenue for the four-month period ended Oct. 31, helped by strength in its aftermarket business.

* IQE: British semiconductor wafer maker IQEIQE.L said it would start a strategicreview of its assets and warned that revenue would not grow this year due to a slower-than-expected recovery and weak consumer demand in end markets.

* HOME PRICES: Asking prices for British homes fell over the last month by more than is usual for the time of year, online property portal Rightmove said on Monday, although it forecast a new upswing in the market for 2025.

* BIRD FLU: Britain said on Sunday it had confirmed a strain of the H5N1 bird flu virus in commercial poultry at premises near the town of St Ives in southwest England.

* FRASERS: Billionaire Mike Ashley-owned Frasers Group FRAS.L is set to appoint Jon Thompson, the former head of Britain's audit watchdog, as its chairman in 2025, Sky News reported on Friday.

* OIL: Oil prices edged up after fighting between Russia and Ukraine intensified over the weekend, while concerns about fuel demand in China, the world's second-largest consumer, and forecasts of a global oil surplus weighed on markets.

* GOLD: Gold prices rose after last week's sharp declines, as a rally in the dollar paused, while market participants awaited comments from Federal Reserve officials this week for more clues on the U.S. interest rate path.

* METALS: Base metals prices were largely tradinghigher
