Dec 10 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.5%.


* ASHTEAD: UK equipment rental firm Ashtead AHT.L said that it expects annual profit to come in below previous expectations and that it plans to shift its primary listing from London to the United States, its biggest market.

* THAMES WATER: Britain's Thames Water said its equity raise was progressing, the next stage of a rescue plan after it secures a 3 billion pound ($3.83 billion) facility to help it survive into the new year, as it published half-year results.

* STANDARD CHARTERED: Standard Chartered STAN.L has nominated ex-JPMorgan India chief P.D. Singh to be the next India and South Asia CEO, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

* BP: BP BP.L and Japanese power generator JERA have agreed to join forces to form one of the world's largest offshore wind operators, a major step in CEO Murray Auchincloss' efforts to reduce BP's focus on renewables.

* GSK: British drugmaker GSK GSK.L said on Monday its experimental cancer drug Blenrep in combination with other treatments reduced the risk of death by 42% in multiple myeloma, a common type of blood cancer, at or after first relapse compared to an existing treatment.

* ANGLO AMERICAN: Chile's environmental regulator has filed three charges against miner Anglo American's local unit over alleged violations at its El Soldado copper mine in the Valparaiso region.

* OIL: Oil prices eased only slightly, holding on to most of their gains from the prior session.

* GOLD: Gold prices extended gains.

* METALS: London copper prices edged lower.
