ISTANBUL, Nov 25 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 34.4500-34.6050 against the U.S. dollar at 0416 GMT, compared with a close of 34.6050 on Friday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.94% higher at 9,549.89 points on Friday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks rallied with U.S. equity futures on Monday, while the dollar retreated against rivals as bond yields slid following the selection of fund manager Scott Bessent as the next U.S. Treasury secretary, with investors expecting he will be a voice for markets in Washington.


CABINET MEETING

President Tayyip Erdogan will chair a meeting of the cabinet of ministers. (1300 GMT)


ERDOGAN SCHEDULE

President Erdogan will speak at an event to mark the International Day for the Fight Against Violence Against Women. (1000 GMT).


NATO SECRETARY GENERAL

Erdogan will also meet NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. (1200 GMT)


MANFACTURING CONFIDENCE TRGRWT=ECI

The Central Bank will announce the manufacturing confidence index for November. (0700 GMT)


CAPACITY UTILISATION TRCAPU=ECI

The Central Bank will also release the capacity utilisation index for November. (0700 GMT)


BUDGET DEBATE

The 2025 budget of the Transport and Infrastructure Ministry will be discussed at parliament's planning and budget commission. (0800 GMT)


INDUSTRY MINISTER

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir will attend a signing ceremony for a joint declaration on the Turkey industrial decarbonisation investment platform. (0900 GMT)


TRADE MINISTER

Trade Minister Omer Bolat will attend the International Business Forum Congress. (0630 GMT)


KURDISH MAYORS

Turkey stripped two elected pro-Kurdish mayors of their posts in eastern cities on Friday, for convictions on terrorism-related offences, the interior ministry said, temporarily appointing state officials in their places.


RUSSIAN PLANE

The engine of a Russian-made passenger plane caught fire after landing at southern Turkey's Antalya Airport on Sunday, the Turkish transport ministry said in a statement.
