Turkey - Factors To Watch on Nov 19
ISTANBUL, Nov 19 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.6040 against the U.S. dollar at 0338 GMT, weakening from a close of 34.5550 on Monday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.06% higher at 9,395.39 points on Monday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian stocks rose on Tuesday while U.S. bond yields and the dollar hung back from multi-month highs as traders awaited President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet selection and sought to gauge the outlook for Federal Reserve easing.
ERDOGAN IN BRAZIL
President Tayyip Erdogan will hold a press conference at the G20 leaders summit in Rio de Janeiro.
PARLIAMENTARY MEETINGS
The government-allied MHP (0745 GMT), the pro-Kurdish DEM (0945 GMT) and the main opposition CHP (1030 GMT) will hold parliamentary group meetings.
BUDGET DEBATE
Parliament's Planning and Budget Committee will discuss the Health Ministry's 2025 budget.
TRADE MINISTER IN IRAQ
Minister of Trade Omer Bolat will attend the trade delegation opening programme and round table meeting with contracting companies in the Iraqi city of Basra.
LESOTHO PRIME MINISTER
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will host Lesotho Prime Minister Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane and they will hold a joint press conference. (0930 GMT)
FAMILY MINISTER
Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas will attend the award ceremony of Turkey's Entrepreneurial Women Power Competition. (1130 GMT)
