The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.4700 against the U.S. dollar at 0405 GMT, weakening from a close of 34.4450 on Friday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.33% lower at 9,389.62 points on Friday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Global stocks began the week on firmer footing ahead of a highly anticipated earnings release from Nvidia NVDA.O, while in Japan, a speech from its central bank's head left markets none the wiser on the country's rate outlook.
ERDOGAN AT G20
President Tayyip Erdogan will attend the G20 leaders summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he will attend various meetings.
