ISTANBUL, July 2 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 32.6200-32.7000 against the U.S. dollar at 0400 GMT, after closing at 32.6440 on Monday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 2.86% lower at 10,343.31 points on Monday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

The U.S. dollar hovered near an almost 38-year high to the yen on Tuesday following a surge in Treasury yields as investors contemplated the potential for a second Donald Trump presidency.


CABINET MEETING

President Tayyip Erdogan will chair a meeting of the cabinet of ministers in Ankara. (1300 GMT)


MINISTERIAL CHANGES

Erdogan appointed new health minister and urbanisation ministers after removing the incumbents from their posts, the country's Official Gazette showed on Tuesday.

Kemal Memisoglu became health minister and Murat Kurum was appointed urbanisation minister.


CENTRAL BANK RESERVES

The Turkish central bank's net foreign reserves excluding swaps fell $1 billion last week, bankers said on Tuesday, after rising some $78 billion to $12.5 billion dollars in the three months since March local elections.


PARLIAMENT MEETINGS

The pro-Kurdish DEM Party will hold a parliamentary group meeting. (0945 GMT)

Parliament's general assembly will begin debate on a civil aviation law among bills on the agenda. (1200 GMT)


SOMALIA-ETHIOPIA TALKS

Turkey has begun mediating talks between Somalia and Ethiopia over a port deal Addis Ababa signed with the breakaway region of Somaliland earlier this year, Ankara and four officials familiar with the matter said.


PKK ARRESTS IN IRAQ

Iraq said on Monday it had arrested three people linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and suspected of planning attacks across the country, including on a key oil export pipeline in the north.


BOMB ATTACKS VERDICT

Ten suspected Islamic State militants were sentenced to life imprisonment on Monday for a second time in a retrial over their role in twin bombings that killed 101 people in Turkey's capital in 2015.
