Thai baht steady vs U.S. dollar at 0205 GMT
BANGKOK, Dec 12 (Reuters) -The Thai baht was steady in morning trade on Thursday as higher U.S. consumer prices supported the dollar while the Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates next week.
The baht was unchanged at 33.905 per dollar at 0205 GMT.
It has strengthened 0.6% against the dollar since the start of the year, making it Asia's second-strongest currency after the Malaysian ringgit MYR=.
Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira said on Wednesday Thailand's economy was expected to grow 4% in the final quarter of this year and expand 2.8% for the whole of 2024.
