STOXX ON THE UP
Gains spread across all sectors helped European shares get off to a positive start on Tuesday as investors geared up for the Federal Reserve to start its easing cycle this week.
The region-wide STOXX 600 .STOXX index advanced 0.5%, less than 2 percentage points below the record high set last month. No sector was in the red in morning deals.
Retailers .SXRP stood out, with Kingfisher KGF.L soaring 7% to an over 2-year high after the B&Q owner upped its guidance saying seasonal sales trends have improved since early July.
