Stand-out FX option strike expiries this week

Sept 23 (Reuters) -The cash hedging of soon-to-expire FX option strikes can have a magnetic effect on FX price action, adding to nearby support/resistance. There are some huge strikes expiring this week.

The largest EUR/USD strikes are on Monday at 1.1150 on 1.9 billion euros, Tuesday at 1.1120-25 on 3.5 billion euros and Wednesday at 1.1100 on 913 million euros and 1.1125-30 on 2.6 billion euros. Thursday has 1.1125-30 strikes on 1 billion euros, 1.1150 on 1.8 billion euros and at 1.1180-90 on 3.5 billion euros. Friday has a 1.1050 strike expiry on 1.4 billion euros and 1.1100 on 1.2 billion euros.

Stand-out USD/CHF strikes are on Monday at 0.8500 on $695 million, Tuesday at 0.8450 on $675 million and 0.8600 on $1 billion, Wednesday at 0.8445 on $760 million and on Thursday at 0.8550 on $840 million. The largest EUR/CHF strike expiry is on Thursday at 0.9525 on 555 million euros.

Stand-out GBP/USD strike expiries are on Tuesday at 1.3400 on 1 billion pounds, Wednesday at 1.3115 on 623 million pounds and 1.3285 on 627 million pounds and on Thursday at 1.3215 on 561 million pounds. The largest EUR/GBP strikes expire on Thursday between 0.8440-55 on 828 million euros.

AUD/USD strike expiries are on Monday at 0.6780 on A$755 million, Tuesday at 0.6750 on A$654 million, Wednesday at 0.6850 on A$730 million and on Thursday at 0.6700 on A$724 million, 0.6780 on A$627 million and at 0.6795-0.6800 on A$1.3 billion.

NZD/USD strike expiries are on Monday at 0.6300 on NZ$ 1.2 billion, Tuesday at 0.6350 on NZ$ 603 million, Wednesday at 0.6210 on NZ$593 million and 0.6320 on NZ$946 million and on Thursday at 0.6225 on NZ$1.3 billion and 0.6330-40 on NZ$2.5 billion. The largest AUD/NZD strike expiries are on Thursday at 1.0870-80 on A$1 billion.

Stand out USD/CAD strike expiries are on Tuesday at 1.3600 on $1 billion, Tuesday at 1.3500 on $1.5 billion and 1.3600 on $1.1 billion, Thursday at 1.3460 on $2.2 billion and on Friday at 1.3500 on $943 million.

USD/JPY expiries are limited before Wednesday, when there will be a 144.95 strike on $540 million. On Thursday there is a 143.75 strike on $552 million, a 144.00-10 strike on $675 million and a 144.50 strike on $608 million.
