SHARP SWINGS
There have been some sharp swings in the first hour of trading, as traders once again punished companies that underperformed and gave some, but as not much, credit to those that did well.
Sweden's Electrolux, the world's second biggest appliances maker was the STOXX 600's worst performer, down nearly 15% after it reported lower-than-expected Q3 profit.
The second worst performer on the broad index was French auto supplier Valeo VLOF.PA down 12% again on results, afer it cut its annual sales guidance for the second time this year.
Though there was better news at British lender NatWest, whose shares gained 5% to their highest in over 13 years after it raised its income forecast for the year.
On the index level those moves had largely cancelled themselves out, and the Stoxx 600 .STOXX was last down 0.17%, at around a two-week low.
